How gift card rates work: why the price changes

2026-10-12

When you sell a gift card you get a percentage of its face value. That percentage is the rate. Here is why it is different for each card.

The rate depends on the card

Cards that are easy to resell, like Apple or Google Play, usually have a different rate from cards that are harder to use. Every card has its own rate on its page.

The country can change it

The same brand can have a different rate for each country. Choose the country first and the rate updates on the page.

You see the amount before you send

The page shows the rate and the exact amount you will receive for the value you pick. Nothing is hidden and there is no extra fee on the sale.

The rate is fixed when you submit

The rate you saw when you sent the code is the rate on your order, even if rates change later that day.

Where to compare

The rates page lists all cards with today's rate, so you can compare before you decide what to sell.

Withdrawal fees

Selling has no fee. Crypto withdrawals are free. InstaPay has a small fee that is shown before you confirm.
